Welcome Webb!

Here we are almost three weeks after you were born, and Mommy is finally getting a chance to sit down and write all about you! You have consumed my every waking moments and I wouldn't trade it for the world! The first week of you being home was a little rough for all of us but we're finally settled in and getting you on a little schedule- especially at night when it's time for you to be still and quiet. We put you down around 9 and you will sleep at least 4 hours before wailing for me to come feed you. I am proud of how well you've done! During the day, you enjoy being upstairs with me while I clean and do around the house. We're trying to get you used to 'daytime' sounds so your little body will learn the difference. This is definitely a work in progress!

You came into the world on Thanksgiving Day, 2010 at 8:47 p.m. and weighed a whopping 8 lbs, 1 oz! I labored with you for nearly 24 hours before the doc. decided you would only come via c-section. I was totally fine with that- so long as you were healthy, I didn't care how you arrived! Daddy was present for your arrival as well! I don't think I've ever seen him so happy in my life. He got to see you first which I was so happy about. And he got to hold you until I was out of recovery and could finally get a good look at you. This had to have been the best moment of my life. You were absolutely perfect- not all mushed up and cone-headed. You had the most beautiful rosy cheeks and bright red lips. I cried and cried just looking at you- you were the most beautiful baby I had ever seen and I immediately fell in love with you. We stayed in the hospital 3 nights after you were born because we both needed time to heal and your precious pediatrician wanted to keep you for 48 hours which we felt was a great idea. She thinks you're precious too, and confirmed to us that yes, you are absolutely perfect. We love Dr. Kelly and are so thankful she was there when you came in to the world to make sure you were okay. You had several visitors while in the hospital, of course, grandparents and your Aunt Nancy and Jeff. Aunt Patti came too as did Julie.

We brought you home on Sunday, November 28th. And I am lucky to stay home with you until the end of Februrary after which you'll be spoiled with love all day by your grandmothers. I am enjoying every minute of catering to your every need, kissing that sweet head, watching you look around, make silly faces, sleep soundly, and cry loudly. Every minute of it is sacred to me and will forever change me as a person. I love you, sweet Webb. You make daddy and me VERY proud and very happy. We love you to the moon and back a million times.
