Happy Halloween!

For your first Halloween, you were Charlie Brown! We thought this would suit you just perfectly since you have very little hair like he does and you wouldn't stand to be put in a costume with a head piece or something. So it was simple, but it was precious. We tried to take a few pictures but once you realized we were on the steps, all you wanted to do was climb them. It was a fun night for our little family and you were so sweet at dinner too.

Ok, ok, we're done now!

This is WAY more fun!

"Forget Halloween, I found fun knobs to play with!"

I hope everyone had a Happy Halloween!

11 Month Baby

Happy 11 months to my sweet sweet Little! You are a ball of fire, a bundle of energy, a charming, happy, silly, boy with more personality than I've ever seen. You have me totally wrapped around your little finger and I wouldn't trade it for all the money in the world. You are so big now- cruising and standing by yourself. You've taken a step or two, unintentionally, but it had me on the edge of my seat. Here you are at 11 months.

You are a total ham. I could eat you up!

You and daddy . . .

You are now saying the words "dada, uh-oh, and "ight." When you see a light switch, you love to turn the light on or off and say "ight." It's pretty darn cute. You also like to make the /k/ and /t/ sounds.

You are still cruising along the furniture. You are a super fast crawler and you have even learned how to climb the stairs.

You love books. You will sit and listen to a story from start to finish! You love The Billy Goats Gruff and your touch and feel books. Kudos to your grandmothers for spending so much time reading with you. You also know how to turn the page when it's time. Smart little Punka.

You can be a picky eater! Depending on your mood, you'll eat well or you'll just want to get down.

It's so hard to think that last year at this time . . .

(Your mama was a big ole chunka) You were not here yet!

And next month, we'll celebrate your first birthday.

We love you, sweet boy. Thank you for making our hearts so happy.

The Perfect Ending . . .

Sometimes there are moments in life that take our breath away. I was lucky to witness a moment such as this tonight as the sun went down. Devotion, trust, curiosity, wonder, and love . . . all captured in a split second. My life is far more blessed than I ever ever dreamed of.

Sweet Little Webster

Here is your first pumpkin! We decorated it last night. You loved helping daddy screw in the hair hook thingys. You didn't like when he used the drill to make the holes. I'm so excited about your first Halloween coming up soon!

In other news, you love looking at books and turning the pages . . .

playing your tamborine . . .

and looking out your bedroom window with Mr. Giraffe.

It was hard to get very many smiles from you this weekend. I wish I could make ear infections magically disappear. You were a trouper and were finally happy and lively again by this morning. We have to get you better for your mountain trip next weekend!

Happy Fall, Sweet Little Webster. You are mommy and daddy's delight.

Remembering

I took you to visit your Pawpaw this weekend. I told him all about how sweet you are, how full of life you are, and how he would be so proud of you. I miss him terribly and wish he was here to see you. He'd have you in a duck blind at Harkers Island if he were here. There isn't a day that passes that I don't wish he were here. I love you and miss you, Daddy.

Your first Fall . . .

Today was such a fun day! We took you to the pumpkin patch at a local nursery and we had the best time. You were the youngest child from our church but the other kids enjoyed having you and did a great job holding you! We went on a wagon ride, went to the pumpkin patch, helped make apple cider, and did a little of the corn maze. You were precious as always.

You also did some climbing this weekend . . .

And, have I mentioned that you have the most beautiful smile in the whole world?

You are such a ray of sunshine- always bringing warmth and happiness to those around you.

What a precious gift from God you are. Daddy and I love you to the moon and back gazillion times.

10 months!

Boy have we been busy- as evidenced by the lack of posts to the blog! As I sit here typing, it's about 40 some degrees outside, the leaves are slowly turning to yellow, and life couldn't be better. The changing of the season reminds me so much of how last year at this time, we were really anticipating your arrival. I was hugely pregnant, swollen, and fat, but we were so excited to meet you. And here we are 10 months later and our world has become so full now that you are here. I absolutely can't believe that I'm planning your first birthday party next month. You grow and change every single day. I told you this morning that I could watch you all day. You are amusing, silly, and charming. You are inquisitive, determined, and on-the-go all day long. Last night after you went to bed, the house was so quiet. I wanted to wake you up so we could play. I live for days when I get to be with you, watching and playing as you become your own little person. Here are some things you're up to at 10 months!

*You are still sleeping through the night. I think you play so hard during the day that you need every minute of sleep!
*You wear 12-18 month clothing!
*You love to swing, help unload the washing machine, push your cart, and unravel the toilet paper from the roll!
*You love books. You are good at turning the pages and looking at the pictures! You especially love books with furry and rough textures. You know exactly where to find the place you're supposed to touch. You will sit and listen to a story. I believe one of your favorites is the Three Billy Goats Gruff. When I hand you the book, you just laugh and squeal.
*You love your grandparents. And they love you. You are spoiled in good ways by all of them. Daddy and I feel so blessed to have them helping us raise you!
*You adore icecream. Mimi's homemade icecream to be exact!
*You know how to give eskimo kisses. When asked, you smile and put your nose close to my face. It is the most precious thing ever.
*You love to talk. You babble, squeal, coo, and grunt all the time. You love making the zzzz sound, gggg sound, and dadadada. You also know how to say uh-oh!
*You have started clapping and doing this silly move where you cover your ears.
*You can stand alone for little bits of time and you are cruising along the furniture a lot.

And you are IMPOSSIBLE to take pictures of now! You won't be still for long and you're always grabbing for the camera.

Daddy and I love you so much, little PUNKA!

Praying

For this mommy and her sweet sweet little boy, Tripp.

http://randycourtneytripproth.blogspot.com/2011/10/letters-from-me.html

Let's all hold our children a little closer, spend a little more time with them, and tell them we love them every single day.

May God bless this mommy and baby.
