7 Month Fun!

Today you are 7 months old! Where has this time gone? You are so full of life- playing hard, eating well, sleeping well (thank you!), and officially in to EVERYTHING! Here are some things you've been up to lately:

You lost another grandparent- your great grandmother Hartzog. She loved you so much and always said you were a "pretty little boy." She lived to be almost 100. She was a blessing to us all and will be missed.

We celebrated Daddy's first Father's Day. No pictures to share but it was a special day!

Pulling up- yes, in full force! You're pulling up on chair legs, your swing, your pack-n-play, your stroller- basically whatever you can grab onto and pull on! You've had a few little head bumps from falling backwards but most of the time we're on the carpet and you don't even miss a beat.

You are still eating solids and seem to do well with them! We're going to try some puffs this week!

You still love your swing and your tub, being outside, taking baths, looking at books, and chewing on Sophie Sophie.

Your new favorite book is Commotion in the Ocean. It has big bright pictures. I love how you talk to your books.

You are still going to bed around 7:30 or 8 and are sleeping until 6. You usually take a 2 or 2.5 hour nap around 8:30 and then again in the afternoon. Mommy is learning the drill- once you're fussy, we go down for a nap. The time in between is spent playing!

You went on your first canoe ride a few weeks ago. You were not a fan of your life jacket but I think you'll get used to it!

You like peek-a-boo, patty cake, and forehead bumper (a poem your Mams made up)!

You graduated to a convertible car seat! I think you like having more room!

You love playing with a tipped over laundry basket! It keeps you entertained while I do things around the house!

Your nicknames include Punker, Stink Stink, Little, Buddy, and Sunshine

Here is my all time favorite picture of you. I don't think you can get any more gorgeous. Daddy and I pray that you will be just as beautiful on the inside as you are on the outside.

Happy 7 months, Little Punker. We love you and are enjoying every minute of watching you grow and learn!

Play Date!

Yesterday we had a play date with friends! We had such a good time catching up while you slept and then we played outside. You loved being entertained by the older boys and you thought Baby Will was funny. You were precious as always!

You were silly!

We had a great time and can't wait to see these boys again!

6 month well visit and summer fun so far . . .

Yesterday was your six month well visit with Dr. Kelly- although next week, you'll be a 7 month old! Other than having to wait F.O.R.E.V.E.R. to see the doctor, we had a great visit. Dr. Kelly always spends 45 minutes to an hour answering my questions and going over all of your milestones which is so refreshing in this day and time. She loved all over you and said you were doing wonderfully! I don't remember exact percentiles but weight, length, and head were all in the 50th to 75th percentile. You are 26.5 inches long and weigh 18.13 lbs! You got your shots and only cried while she gave them.

Our first day of summer also included cleaning around the house, playing outside in your tub tub, and watching the plumber fix the toilet! You seemed very interested in the long hose thingy he brought! Today we took naps and went uptown to walk around. You were good the whole time and are now napping in your room.

Happy summer, Little!

Loving Summer

It's been a while since I've written! This is always a busy time of year as the school year comes to an end and we gear down for summer vacation. This summer will be the best one yet because I'll have you to play with all day long! I am so excited that for the whole summer, you are mine, all mine (except when grandparents go too many days without seeing you!) and we've got a few things planned that I'm really looking forward to! We're taking some swim lessons in July, going on boat rides, taking you to the park, visiting friends and family, and taking you on your first REAL beach trip! Not to mention lots of swinging, crawling, snuggling, rocking, walking, and eating! I am thankful for a job that allows me this time off to enjoy my family. I can't wait to spend these long summer days making memories with you and daddy.

Still haven't mastered the sitting up thing yet . . . but you sure did look precious!

Playing with the wheels on the dishwasher !

Eating icecream from Jo Jo's!

We love you little Punker!!
