Peanut Butter and This and That

What do you feed a hungry, growing boy?
Apple slices and a tub of peanut butter of course!

He had it all over his hands and face. But I kinda did too. Cause there's no better snack than apples and peanut butter.

In other news, I'm thinking of treating myself to this gem for a Mother's Day present:

I'm in love with the Garmin Forerunner.

And . . . . because I can hardly contain myself, a trip to my favorite beach, Oak Island is a month away. Chris and I decided to spend our ninth wedding anniversary at the beach. Several people have asked if we're leaving Webb here so we can have a weekend of 'just us' time. Heck no. I wouldn't leave my boy for a minute. He will love the beach now that he's a little older. And I will soak up a long weekend of being a wife and a mother to my sweet boys.

That's all for now. Tomorrow is Hump Day. Word.

Weekend Shenanigans

We had an exceptional weekend here at the Fulton house! The weather was gorgeous, the house is spotless, and we are all feeling better! Thank you Jesus! :)

Friday night brought cold and rain so we stayed in, snuggled up, and went to bed early. Saturday morning, I did a 10.5 mile run which was pretty awesome if I do say so. I don't know where the strength came from given that on mile 3 I was ready to hang it up. But something kept telling me to keep running so I did. I think I've finally nailed down a half marathon but it's not til December. Everyone tells me to wait til it's cold, so that will do. It's a long ways off but that will give me time to keep cross training, getting stronger, and faster. A full marathon has been weighing on my mind for about a week or so. Now that 10 miles is easier, maybe I'm ready to push myself. We'll see.

So after the run, we hung out here and Webb took a 4 hour nap. THEN, the Ingram's came over for park time and Taco night. We had a ball. Her children are the most well-behaved, respectful little people I know. I'm so thankful that Webb has them as buddies and that Chris and I have Carrie and Allen as buddies! They stayed past bedtime so Webb crashed and slept well. Today, I stayed in my pajamas until 4:00. Then we took Webb to Finch Park to walk the trails and see the ducks. He had an absolute ball. He talked the.whole.time. Oh my heavens, he's a talker like mama. Everything he saw, he talked about. If we said something, he said the same thing about 10 times. Oh my heart just swells. He truly is the air I breathe.

It was a wonderful weekend. I love spending time with my family and friends.

The dirt pile was a hit!

Checking out the trails.

Day 4

Here we are at day four of the stomach bug. So I'll back up to Sunday evening when Webb was finally feeling better. Daddy and I started feeling sick and at about 9:00, it hit both of us. I'll spare the details but basically he had the downstairs bathroom and I had the upstairs bathroom. The next morning, Mimi came and got Webb and Chris and I slept til 5:00 that afternoon. Then last night, Webb threw up again and has had some nasty poops. Sorry, TMI but that's life right now. So, I'm home again today watching his every move, keeping lots of fluids in both of us, and just resting. We've watched a lot of t.v., read a lot of books, played in the back yard a little, and I've washed tons of laundry. Towels, sheets, clothes, the bath mat. All have been affected by this horrible stomach bug. Ugh! I'll be so happy when everyone is 100% better!

Glamorous, huh? :)

How the Weekend Took a Turn

This weekend took a turn for the worse when Webb threw up right after I put him down for his nap Saturday. He was fine until that point- I had gone on a long run, Chris had taken him to the Y child watch while he did WOD and all seemed fine! I laid him in his bed as usual, came downstairs, and heard his door open. Then his little cry was just pitiful. He was sitting at the top of the stairs and said "Webb throwed up in his bed." Bless him. He sure had. All over everything. Luckily I was able to clean him up and change his sheets and he went right back to sleep. I was thinking it was a fluke or something since he slept so well. After nap time though, it happened twice more and then once right before bed. He was so pitiful. This morning he seemed better but then wanted to rock at 10:00. He slept about 2 hours and has been fine all day. We went on a long car ride to get out some and then went for a walk at the park. We're now watching his 'show' for the millionth time. We had big plans to hang out with some neighborhood friends and then today the Ingram's were coming over but we cancelled everything. I will say I've enjoyed the extra snuggles. When your child is sick, you'll definitely go to the world and back to make him feel better. I haven't left his side all weekend.  On a happier note, Chris' birthday is tomorrow and we did have fun celebrating Friday night before all this started.
